A slow news weekend, but we pulled some highlights. We’ve got a blasphemous remake of Vertigo in the works with Robert Downey Jr. maybe set to star. Shazam loses yet again to the newly released John Wick 4. Finally, those recycled plastic bags you use in stores might not be recycled. There’s not really a good way to tell.

Punks and Pixie Dynamos – Boom Bandits Volume 2 Review
A while back I reviewed a copy of Boom Bandits, and really enjoyed it. I’ve finally picked up the next volume, which was released in November 2022, and it’s an absolutely fantastic continuation of the first story.
The imagery is fantastic. The punk rocker aesthetic is dialed up to eleven and we get even more insight into the world that Bruno Stahl has developed. The story moves at breakneck speed, and the characters are unique and interesting. Characters we met in the first issue return, and we’re introduced to a few new faces as well.

The Fate We Make Ep. 4: Terminator Salvation (2009)
This week on The Fate We Make the Binge Buddies, composed of Bryan Dressel, Matt “Zombie Dog Johnny 5” Dykes, Joel “Marvin the Paranoid Android” DeWitte, and Ryan “R2-D2” Lootens “excitedly” sit down to discuss ‘Terminator Salvation.’ It’s got Christian Bale in it, and it’s got up-and-coming names that are going to be big, and McG directed the thing so it can’t be bad, right? RIGHT? It’s the best one ever, RIGHT?!?!?! Should probably listen to the episode and find out just how great this film is.

Tarantino Critic Flick, MetaHumans, and Swatting?
Swatting is an awful thing and while it’s nice to hear that there’s some closure for the first bit of news today, it’s still a somber revelation that the worst in gaming improves slowly, if at all. I also snuck in a link to A.O. Scott’s farewell to film criticism amidst a small opinion piece discussing recent Tarantino news. The Metahumans thing is pretty cool.

The party finds their seats and gets a bead on all of the important figures at the Opalescent Menagerie. There’s the tiefling from Cania looking for Yewsiff, there’s the agents of Dis keeping an eye out for Fetter, and then there’s Bonham and his retinue, which includes the King himself. Well, maybe that’s the King.
