Swatting is an awful thing and while it’s nice to hear that there’s some closure for the first bit of news today, it’s still a somber revelation that the worst in gaming improves slowly, if at all. I also snuck in a link to A.O. Scott’s farewell to film criticism amidst a small opinion piece discussing recent Tarantino news. The Metahumans thing is pretty cool.

Epic’s new motion-capture animation tech has to be seen to be believed
I watched the video and was impressed. I will offer though that the problem has never been technology, but rather the money and the decision-makers. This will be seen as a means to cheapen the process and the modern game will still release in a broken and mostly unplayable state. Maybe I’m still bitter about the past few years in gaming RPGs, but who knows. -Jon
