The Tip of My Brain Movie Game is here! Think you got what it takes?
A new week, a new challenge. We’ve got some great movie stills this week to challenge your film knowledge. Think you know your movies? Let’s chat and see what you come up with!
We’re exploring the final frontier with this week’s Musicapalooza Spotify Playlist!
To celebrate the release of Valerian this weekend, we’re blasting off into the great unknown that is SPACE. Well, that’s not entirely accurate. We’ve got a Spotify playlist, which is pretty much the same thing, yeah? Oh! We’ve also got this video of Tim Curry:
So put on those space-age headphones, find a nice corner of your spaceship, and check out the coolest music playlist this side of the galaxy!
IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME! We’re joined this week by special guest Christopher Hayden and friend of the show Jason Blagman to talk about the 2017 reboot of POWER RANGERS. The movie gets a lot right, but also makes some creative decisions that have us scratching our heads. We talk about the importance of being true to the spirit of the original show, and the inherent flaw in trying to appeal to both fans and non-fans alike. It’s ZORDS, Emily! Anyway, we’ve got a super fun episode this week so lend us your ears for an hour-twenty and let’s do this!

The Tip of My Brain Movie Game is back and it’s got the goods!
We’ve got an impressive line-up of stills this week. Think you can guess which movies they belong to? We’ve been toying around with either setting up a leaderboard or some kind of prize for the person who guesses correctly, so let us know what you think in the comments.
We’re monkeying around for this week’s Musicapalooza, and It’s partially Caesar’s fault.
War For The Planet of the Apes is out this weekend and we thought it would be a fun thing to have a playlist that’s all about “monkeying around.” Some tracks have monkeys in them and some tracks are completely random, but all of the songs featured this week are super fun to listen to!
So don’t delay! Give our new playlist a listen and let us know what you think!
It’s Christmas in July! Or rather, it’s the summer version of our secret santa movie exchange. We had so much fun doing this last time that we brought Christopher Ortiz back to do it again. Our pal (and former co-host) Ryan James assigned each of us a person and we gave them a movie we thought they would enjoy (or not).
It was a gory, three-course meal with complicated start and a ravishing finish.
My favorite television show of all time is Hannibal, the surprising NBC adaptation of Thomas Harris’ Red Dragon. The show focused on FBI Special Investigator Will Graham and his relationship to Psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a relationship that the internet would lovingly dub “murder husbands.”
As someone who enjoyed Jonathan Demme’s Silence of the Lambs, found an amusing appreciation for Ridley Scott’s Hannibal, and found himself bored by Brett Ratner’s Red Dragon, I was interested to see how NBC (of all channels) was going to take a stab at the polite cannibal.

To brighten your Monday we’re bringing you another tip of my brain movie game!
Don’t let the new work week get you down! Check out the stills below and see if you can guess what movie they belong to. Think you’ve got what it takes?
To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming, we’re making a spotify playlist about…HOMECOMING.
We weren’t content over here at After the Hype HQ to simply do a playlist about Spider-Man. No siree! We thought it would be even better if we did a playlist based on Homecoming itself. You know, that magical time when everything sucked but it was somehow okay because the music was pretty dope and the dance was alright?
Anyway, give our new playlist a listen and let us know what you think!
