It’s a wonderful, hilarious, and genre-elevating film bursting at the seams with heart. There’s the re-imagined 21 in search of 24’s killer, Monarch’s anaphylactic face troubles, Sgt. Hatred’s inability to prevent the boys from getting kidnapped and witnessing Princess Tinyfeet in S&M play with Private Schwa, and Dr. Venture reminiscing with Dr. Mrs. the Monarch about the inhabitants of Malice. A lot of good stuff here.
This week on the podcast it’s just Bryan and Jon as they talk about Inspector Gadget and Green Lantern, two movies that were widely hated and that ended up damaging or altering the careers of their main actors. They delve into the similarities between the films as well as what worked and what didn’t. It’s a fun, smaller episode that you won’t want to miss.
This week on the episode Bryan Dressel, Nick “Nightwing” Friedemann, and Graham “Nebula” Mason talk about the “most hated” episode of season four and why it just doesn’t click like the others. There’s continuity in that they use characters from the show, but it just doesn’t really fit. You know, like a Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror episode.
Scaramouche? Galileo? Beelzebub? We grapple with the disappointing Bohemian Rhapsody this week on the podcast and try to make sense of what went wrong and why this couldn’t have just been a movie about Freddie Mercury and Bowie creating “Under Pressure.” Special thanks to Elliot Campos for joining us this week and providing – once again – an excellent breakdown worthy of Queen itself.

A very fun episode whose A-story and B-story don’t mesh nearly as well as they should.
