The biggest news of the week was the Writer’s Strike, which despite our goal for this post series, isn’t exactly old news. In fact, it’s still ongoing and there are a lot of complicated pieces. Aside from that, we have a story from Damon Lindelof about getting dropped from his Star Wars project, Phil Spencer reflecting on his console’s place in the market, and Kathleen Kennedy admitting what everyone has known for awhile: Star Wars needs to be spread out more.
All that and more is Old News Now!

Those scary warnings of juice jacking in airports and hotels? They’re nonsense
As with all things, caution is the best course of action, but the point remains. For the average person, this sort of hacking is not going to be a concern. Also, props to Apple for being the more difficult of the phones to breach. That’s at least one thing going for ya. -Jon
Top Twitter influencers flee to Bluesky amid Musk’s continued debasing
I get it. Musk = bad. I just wish that instead of hopping to the nearest questionable service at best, we put a little thought into which social media services might be the better replacement. Also, there’s no reason why Jack won’t just sell Bluesky to another thumb thumb once there’s a profitable userbase. Remember, we are the product. -Jon
Dune Part Two trailer

Star Wars Movies Need to Be James Bond-Like Events, Says Kathleen Kennedy
I mean…duh. The oversaturation of lesser quality entries burned me out. We could stand to have 3-5 years between SW films AND series. -Jon
