I haven’t finished listening to the episode yet, but the “Oasis” quest where you find that the village’s deity tree is actually a mutant that’s been stuck there for a long time and you have to decide whether to keep him there or euthanize him. It was such a messed up quest and one I accidentally stumbled into.
He is actually from fallout 1 and 2! He is the one who kind of shows human bodies are the resource nature needs to take the earth back.
I saw that in the wiki I checked out to remember the details of the quest, and I don’t remember him all that well from the first two games. I REALLY need to go back and play those again.

What did you end up doing? I was a bit too zealous in ending things for Harold(?) and had to fight my way out of the village. Haha.
